How to compress images without visible quality loss
Heavy photos are a common reason a page feels slow on mobile. Compress before you upload to WordPress, Shopify or a static host.
- Open Image compressor. The file stays in your browser.
- Start around 70–80 quality for photos. If edges look mushy, raise quality or resize first with Resize image.
- Prefer WebP for the web when your theme supports it: JPG to WebP, PNG to WebP.
- Crop extra background with Image cropper so you are not compressing unused pixels.
